A change of direction

Boy what a month. The amount of work was almost to much to bear, so it´s no wonder I didn´t have the nerve to waste my precious free time on doing something equally stressing.
For quite some time I thought about quitting blogging, but instead of leaving the community I decided to take a new approach. I´m leaving the stressy part to others. Go ruin your health while hunting for the riches most of us will never acquire. After reading a nice article about the ancient school of stoics I decides to want what I have, and not what I don´t have. And all of a sudden life seems brighter. I still appreciate if some green comes rolling in, but it will not be the main reason why I´m doing all this. In the future you will see all kinds of topic, ranging from arts, food, technology, movies....ah whatever I find interesting. Maybe I´ll even show you some of my own arts.

Ahhh, free at last.

Cheers,

Chris

Ebay bans ivory sales

It´s about time. Finally Ebay banned the sale of ivory. A hurray for the endangered species of the world. Okay, alot of people sell items made of ivory inherited elsewhere, but there is always the danger of illegal goods beeing sold. If you want to sell you old family jewelery, there are always other ways to do that. In my opinion Ebay has taken a step in the right direktion.
I am pro selling stuff over the internet, but when this could lead to the extinction of an endangered species, the fun really stops. Wanna read more about it? Look here.

Back from the holiday

Photobucket
Hi folks.
Tha Schubsta is back from his well deserved holiday.

Photobucket

The days in croatia where wonderful and the weather fantastic. The house of my mother is located in the little town named Duce. For a closer look visit here. Unlike most of the rest of the croatian coast, the beach close to our house is black riversand. Small enough to build castles and large enough to get it out off nasty places. As a little teaser I´ll show you the very first shot I made after our arrival.
Photobucket

Just the sight makes my heart heavy.

The water had an average temperature of 26° C, air 34° C. Just right for lots and lots of fun on the beach.
Photobucket

But we didn´t just waste away out time chillin on the beach or eating icecream. No, the area surrounding Omis has so much more to offer. Fantastic panorama views from the bordering mountainrange.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

But best of all.

Photobucket

The joy of healthy living.

But enough of that for now. More pics will follow tomorrow.

`till the, cheers...

Chris

On vacation

For the next three weeks, I´ll be warming my belly in the croatian sun. See you soon.

Something funny

This old man in his eighties got up and was putting on his coat.
His wife said, "Where are you going ?"
He said, "I'm going to the doctor."
And she said, "Why? Are you sick?"
"No," he said. "I'm going to get me some of those new Viagra pills."
So his wife got up out of her rocker and was putting on her sweater
and he said, "Where are you going?"
She said, "I'm going to the doctor too."
He said, "Why?"
She said, "If you're going to start using that rusty old thing
again, I'm going to get a tetanus shot."

Burning water

Now that is something to either laugh about or truely consider. I haven´t considered converting my car, but if fuel-prices keep rising like that it might be a idea to fool around with.
Read yourself.

Dark Chocolat is good for you

Dark chocolate

I always knew it. Chocolate is good for you. Well only the dark one, but its still chocolate. Scientists (here and here) found out that dark chocolate can have a bloodpressure reducing effect like drugs with the same effect. In the mean time there is the benefit that the ingredients of chocolate, with a cocoa-content of more than 70 percent, can reduce the effects of chronik fatigue. It makes you feel good and does its job for your body too. But with all kinds of medicine: Benefit comes in small doses. A little piece of choc doesn't kill you, but overdoing it will make you fat.

So, when you already got you daily fix of the dark gold and still crave for more, try this. Take one last piece of chocolate, hold it unter your nose and smell it. Take about 5-6 deep breaths and then stick it your mouth. Let it melt slowly. No chewing. Press it against your gum and wait until it is gone. You will see, that one piece of chocolate can be enough.

Homemade Protein Energy Shake

Now something for those little McScrooges out there not willing to pay insane prices for protein products, that can be perfectly produced at home. The English Institute of Sport has posted the recipe on its homepage. A big pro for this, is the fact that you can flavor you shake in any way you like. I like mine choclate-vanilla or strawberry. Take cherries, or bananas. Try everything you like. (The link may be broken, but I posted the recipe anyway.)

Homemade Protein Energy Shake

Ingredients

  • 50g dried skimmed milk powder
  • 500mls fresh milk
  • Milkshake powder

Method

  • Mix the dried skimmed milk powder into a smooth paste with 100mls of the milk.
  • Put all the ingredients into a hand blender and blend until frothy.

Benefits

  • An amazing 35gms protein and 99gms carbohydrate energy for just 81 pence!
  • It also contains less than 1% fat when made with fully skimmed milk.

Alternative Suggestions

  • Add a banana and some honey.
  • Add fresh fruit such as strawberries, or frozen berry fruits.
  • Add natural yoghurt for a thicker shake.

Something that will definetly help is this "little" post I found floating around the net. Well writen, easy to understand and with a healthy touch of humor to lighten up a rather dry theme.

Beeing creativ

Sometimes, when it comes to blogging I simply lack the creativity to write something truely unique. Okay there are many folks out there, that can live with cut and paste, but not me. I wanna be me, and that should be reflected in my posts.
So, when you have problems having creative ideas try this post here.
Pure truth in every step. Where can you get better inspirations, than from creative people. Sometimes a simple little tune from tv or radio can give you the inspiration you need.
So, go out and take a walk with open senses. Inspiration is all arround you.

The impact of blogging on social behaviour

The internet, infinit possibilties.
For someone having problems making new friends in real live, the internet and the blogging community can be the perfect place to make new friends and meet interesting people. For some people it´s even the only possible way to interact with the outside world. For older, more mature persons, who have a grip on their live this can enrich their life. But having witnessed a youngster becomming an internetoholic made me real careful as to what my kids should do on the internet. Young kids tend to prefer the colorful and perfect world of the internet. There are no troubles and noone to bother you. Life is always perfect, and when you find something you don´t like, just click it away. The sbest examples are games like WOW, Everquest or AoC. You run out of gold and made to many enemies, delete the character and start a new one. Real life is not that easy. Having to face big bad teachers, and peers that simply don´t share your opinion can´t be avoided by switching to a different website or server.
On the other side blogging and chatting can have a tremendous impact on the way you treat new people. Curiosity overcomes fear and you step up to them, even if you have to talk with your hands and feet. Your spelling gets better, but only if you know how to spellcheck. *big smile*
As with everything: in controlled doses, the internet can be very good for you, because it expands your horizont, but too much can be areal pain.
When your friends all have l33t names and can all be found in the same chatroom 24/7, take a shower, leave the house and get a real life.

Huzzah!

First Results

Muhah! By playing Entropia I earned my first dollar. It may not seem much, but it is and I will probably invest it in new equipment and stuff, but it shows me, that it it possible. I´ll probably buy some mining gear and try that.

Making Money by playing

Hi folks.
I admit it, I like Mmorpgs. Usually I play Everquest II but after a while you need a break from the fantasy themes. Science Fiction all the way.
Take a look at Entropia Universe for example. A massive multi player game with very large community all over the world and a real life economy. You can invest real cash to buy equipment, but you can also re transfer virtual cash into real-life currency. At first by boring tasks, like gathering sweat from monsters. You´ll die often, but after some time you will be able to afford weapons and armor, so you can go hunting, mining or crafting. Do whatever you like, it´s your choice. Buy land and charge taxes for hunting, sweating or mining. Become a shop owner, or buy a hangar to become a shuttle pilot.
But best of it, it´s completely free to play. If you don´t want to spend a dime, don´t. You´ll take longer but you are still able to make money. Tranfer-rate is 1$ = 10 ped. A ped is 1 Project Entropia Dollar.

Maybe we will see uns online. ´till then happy blogging.

Learning by surfing

When you want to get into earning money online you naturally start to learn by reading the advice that other "pros" offer on their websites. Most of that is bullshit mixed with a little hot air. If you take everything for the truth you will end up spending alot of money for "free" e-books and other useless junk. Me, I read alot and analyze websites. If a site is visually appealing, the content can be of lower quality. On the other side, there are websites out there, that have stunning content, that could open you new ways, if only someone found them.
Personally I don´t like those cluttered sites with myriads of columns and thousands of banners. It´s distracting and tends to keep me away from revisiting that site again. I like my sites clear and simple, but visually pleasing.
So of to modding my own site a little. Gonna ad some pics and a new banner. The old one is rather boring.

'till then.

Keep blogging.

Just Cruising

While just cruising around for interesting sites, I stumbled over this little item. Haven´t logged in or more than just read the first page, but the ideas behind the whole thing is appealing. Making money can be easy if your just willing and courageous enough to try new things. Sometimes we are forced to try, but most of the time the only enemy we face is our own fear of loosing.

Making money as a beggar

When I´m bored, when I wait for something, I start talking to people about their jobs. Even to beggars. Guess what? This one at the railway station begs for 6 hours a day he earns about 10 € each hour. He begs 6 days a week at various locations. Oh boy. That´s 360 € each week tax free.
He is living in a homeless shelter for free and pays minimum for food. Counting four weeks he earns 1440 €. And just by sitting around and doing nothing than looking hungry.
Not the worst choice of profession.

Unusual way to make money

Photobucket
If you don´t have a clue how to make money check out this site. Here numerous ways to gain money from rather funny jobs can be found. Go collect diamonds in parking lots. Hot damn. Or even become a loan-shark. This site is definitely worth a look. Read here.

This lady has guts?

Bjork, a singer I personally don´t like, her music gives me the shivers, pissed of china big time. Her comment during a concert in shanghai, deep in the heartland of china, caused quite a uproar. She angered not only politicians, but the very population. The international conflicts china had to face because of it actions in tibet made her version of freedom of speech a rather questionable one. Because of her artist wanting to perform in china have to undergo much tighter inspections than ever before. Is she brave or just plain stupid? It´s for you to decide.

Something else about mmorpgs

John Cow posted something really cool. Read more about it here.
It´s funny and true.

Goldfarming and Mmorpgs

I´m a online-gamer myself and I usually can´t escape the discussions for and against goldfarming by chinese or other asian players. To me, it´s not exactly illegal. It´s morally questionable, but not illegal. Those farmers gather rares and items to sell them ingame for virtual currency. Later this money, meaning the time spent to aquire it, will be sold to individuals willing to pay the price.
Again, it is questionable but not exactly illegal. All I can say is, that when nobody buys their platin and gold, their services will become useless. If I had the time, I would do it myself.
If you are interested read more about it here.

A hobby I wished I could make money with

Yesterday I had a day off and went to the lokal GAMES WORKSHOP. There I bought the Hobby Compendium for the Space Marine force. The miniatures are simply beautiful. I wish I could paint my minis like that. Check out this website for some really superbly painted figures.

It´s crazy what some people earn money with

Like said above, it is crazy what some people earn money with. Google "used panties" and you will find numerous sites leading to "young and horny" ladies selling their worn lingerie. Man that is just nasty. At least for someone not into such things. But the idea behind it is just brilliant. Exploit someone fetish to make hard cash. Nice. I would do it to, but I don´t think someone would truly consider buying my boxers. It just shows you other ways to gain green.

Photobucket

Let it rip with a you´ve got.

My inspiration

John Chow

This guy is a true inspiration. Not only does he earn money by blogging, he does it with style. Man, just look at his site. He offers a e-book about making money online. Check it out, just like I did. Others out there, like Tha Guru can point you in the right direction.
But the ultimate goal is cash, ´cause that´s where all power comes from.

Why am I doing this?

Hi folks,
this is the Schubsta speaking.
I´m doing this, because I´m greedy. I wanna earn money....lots of it.
My goal will be something like: Get rich or die trying.
Photobucket

Show me the money! Lots of it.

This is my crusade to the havens of the filthy rich.
