It´s about time. Finally Ebay banned the sale of ivory. A hurray for the endangered species of the world. Okay, alot of people sell items made of ivory inherited elsewhere, but there is always the danger of illegal goods beeing sold. If you want to sell you old family jewelery, there are always other ways to do that. In my opinion Ebay has taken a step in the right direktion.
I am pro selling stuff over the internet, but when this could lead to the extinction of an endangered species, the fun really stops. Wanna read more about it? Look here.

Thanks for the informative post re: ivory and eBay. I think that is a good move on eBay's behalf but I wonder what can you do if you do have an antique that was passed down? I guess there's not alot that one can do. The thought of the poor elephants and to think that it is STILL going on is horrific! Thanks for the reminder regarding ivory.
This is great move by Ebay and shows some real leadership in my opinion. Sure, there will be some legitimate vintage/antique ivory sellers disadvantaged but surely everyone can see that this is much better than contributing to the demise of one the most regal species of animals on our planet.
I am all for not trading ivory but the way eBay is going it doesn't seem like they will last much longer.
